Your Guide to Navigating and Using Our Regional Resources
Welcome to the Liberty Democratic Alliance Web Portal!
Whether you are a longtime regional resident, a newly arrived nation, or a visitor from another corner of NationStates, this guide will help you make the most of our website and its associated applications.
Our portal brings together regional information, national statistics, maps, meteorological services, community resources, and interactive applications in one convenient location.
Below, you will find answers to frequently asked questions about accessing, navigating, and using these resources.
The LDA Web Portal is a community-developed website serving the Liberty Democratic Alliance region on NationStates.
It provides convenient access to a variety of regional services, including national economic information, geographical resources, regional statistics, weather observations, calendars, and community activities.
The portal is intended to complement your NationStates experience, not replace it.
Website: https://www.ldawebportal.fyi/
Owner: Eiri's Heart Shaped Box, Ltd.
No!
Our public resources are available to visitors regardless of their regional affiliation.
You are welcome to explore our maps, examine regional statistics, review community information, and discover what our member nations have created.
Certain participation features, such as submitting content or exercising regional political privileges, may have eligibility requirements.
No additional account or software installation is necessary to browse the public website.
The portal operates through your web browser. Some applications use embedded Google services or external platforms, so particular actions may require additional permissions or sign-in.
For the best experience, we recommend using an up-to-date browser with JavaScript enabled.
Begin at our homepage, where you will find links to our principal resources.
Select the service you would like to explore, such as Open MyLDA, Open Regional Atlas, or Enter Regional Observatory.
You can also use the website's navigation menu to move between available pages.
On smaller screens, the navigation menu may appear behind a menu icon.
Some applications are embedded directly into a page, while others may open additional pages or external services.
Use your browser's Back button or the website navigation to return to the homepage.
We recommend taking a short tour!
Start on the homepage and familiarize yourself with the available services.
Open MyLDA to explore the nation-oriented dashboard.
Visit the Regional Atlas to discover our regional geography.
Enter the Regional Observatory to examine national statistics and other regional information.
Return to the homepage to explore our economic directory, recent regional conversations, and community resources.
There is no required order. Feel free to explore whichever subject interests you most.
MyLDA is our nation-oriented dashboard and one of the newest additions to the Web Portal.
It provides a more personalized entry point for exploring national information and related community resources.
To access it:
Visit the Web Portal homepage.
Select Open MyLDA near the top of the page.
Follow the instructions and navigation provided within the application.
Direct access: https://www.ldawebportal.fyi/mylda
MyLDA is a developing resource, so its available functions and presentation may change as new features are introduced.
The Regional Atlas is an interactive geographical resource designed to represent the nations and territories of the Liberty Democratic Alliance.
It gives visitors an opportunity to explore our community geographically, adding a visual dimension to the national identities represented within the region.
To use the Atlas:
Select Open Regional Atlas from the homepage.
Allow the map to finish loading.
Explore the geographical information presented.
Use the map's available zoom and navigation controls to inspect areas of interest.
Direct access: https://www.ldawebportal.fyi/mylda/atlas
The Atlas is an evolving project. Some nations or geographical features may not yet be represented, and existing information may be revised as the project develops.
The Regional Observatory is one of the Web Portal's principal information services.
It compiles and presents a broad range of regional and national statistics, offering visitors a way to examine economic, demographic, administrative, and related information.
Rather than visiting dozens of individual NationStates pages to compare information manually, visitors can consult the Observatory's organized tables and reports.
To enter:
Visit the homepage.
Select Enter Regional Observatory.
Open the available navigation menu or worksheet tabs.
Choose the subject you would like to explore.
Direct access: https://www.ldawebportal.fyi/home/regional-observatory
The Observatory is organized into multiple worksheets and subject areas.
Depending on your device and the embedded spreadsheet interface, you may navigate using worksheet tabs, the document's sheet list, or the Observatory's own menu.
Look for the ~ MENU ~ worksheet as a useful starting point.
Available subjects include:
Regional Overview: A broad statistical summary of the region.
Administrative Profiles: Information concerning the nations and administrative characteristics of the region.
Economic Detail: More detailed national economic information.
GDPs & Exchange Rates: Comparative economic and currency information.
Regional Time: Time-related information for participating nations.
Regional Weather: Regional meteorological observations.
Weather Profiles: More detailed weather information for participating locations.
Additional worksheets and resources may be available.
If you cannot see all the worksheet tabs, try scrolling horizontally along the tab bar or opening the spreadsheet's sheet-navigation menu.
The homepage features an Economic Directory, while the Regional Observatory provides additional economic tables and comparisons.
These resources allow visitors to explore and compare economic information among participating nations.
You may encounter information concerning national GDP, income, currency exchange rates, industrial activity, and other economic indicators.
Begin with the Economic Directory for a general overview, or visit the Observatory for more detailed information.
Keep in mind that economic indicators may be reported in different units and currencies. Always check the headings and units before comparing values.
Meteorological information is available through the Regional Observatory and the Web Portal's weather displays.
Visit the Observatory and locate the Regional Weather or Weather Profiles worksheet.
Depending on the available observations, you may find information concerning conditions at participating national capitals, temperatures, humidity, winds, and other meteorological measurements.
Some weather information may also appear in scrolling displays or other presentation tools on the website.
Please note: Weather reports depend upon the availability of observations from external providers and the successful operation of our automated reporting services.
Not every participating national capital will necessarily have a current observation available.
Missing or delayed information may occur because of unavailable weather stations, interruptions from an upstream data provider, temporary synchronization problems, or an incomplete location configuration.
A delayed observation is not necessarily an indication that the entire reporting network has stopped functioning.
Where available, consult observation timestamps to determine how recent the information is.
If a particular nation's data remains missing or appears incorrect, please submit feedback identifying the nation and affected weather service.
Several of our applications use automated information retrieval, processing, and publishing systems.
However, different resources operate on different update schedules.
Some information may refresh frequently, while other information is updated periodically or manually.
The terms live, recent, and current should not be assumed to mean that every measurement was obtained at the exact moment you opened the page.
Where timestamps or update information are available, consult them to determine the age of a particular dataset.
Temporary reporting delays may occur, especially when external data services are unavailable.
The 72-Hour Chronicle is a convenient presentation of recent activity from the region's NationStates Regional Message Board.
It helps visitors catch up on conversations, announcements, and community developments without having to search manually through recent discussion history.
To find it, scroll down the Web Portal homepage to the Regional Message Board / 72-Hour Chronicle section.
The Chronicle is intended as an informational companion to the NationStates message board.
To participate directly in regional conversations, visit the region through NationStates.
Both resources are accessible from the homepage.
Select Open Calendars to locate regional scheduling information, or Open Proposals to access the relevant regional proposal resources.
Calendar information may also appear in an embedded section further down the homepage.
These resources help residents stay acquainted with regional activities and matters of government.
Please remember that viewing regional information through the portal does not itself confer voting rights, officeholding eligibility, or legislative privileges. Those matters are governed by the region's constitutional procedures.
The Regional Gallery is a space for exploring visual contributions associated with our community.
It complements our other applications by celebrating the imagery, creativity, and geographical identities of participating nations.
Visit the Gallery: https://www.ldawebportal.fyi/mylda/gallery
As the collection grows, visitors may encounter new imagery and featured contributions.

Some embedded applications may retain their desktop-style controls even when viewed on a mobile device.
Our datasets depend on information received from external sources and processed through various internal systems.
A missing value may indicate that the information has not yet been received, has not been provided by the source, or could not be processed successfully.
A blank value should not automatically be interpreted as zero.
Similarly, a pending or unavailable value should not be treated as a confirmed measurement.
We encourage users to report persistent omissions or discrepancies so that the affected information can be reviewed.
The public Observatory is intended primarily for reference and research.
Its underlying datasets, formulas, and administrative functions are maintained through the portal's authorized management systems.
Visitors should not expect direct editing access.
If you believe an entry is incorrect, please use the feedback system rather than attempting to change an underlying document.
We welcome reports of inaccurate information, missing nations, broken links, map discrepancies, and technical malfunctions.
Select Submit Feedback from the footer of the Web Portal.
Direct feedback page: https://www.ldawebportal.fyi/further-reading/help/submit-feedback

The Web Portal is an independently developed community project associated with the Liberty Democratic Alliance.
It complements the NationStates platform but is not a replacement for the official NationStates website.
Official NationStates functions, including nation administration, World Assembly participation, and regional message posting, remain subject to NationStates' own systems and rules.
The Web Portal is developed and maintained under the direction of the Ministry of Recruitment & Internal Affairs, with project attribution to Eiri's Heart Shaped Box, Ltd.
Its underlying applications use a combination of website hosting, spreadsheet systems, scripting, and external data services.
As with any developing digital project, occasional maintenance, updates, and temporary service interruptions should be expected.
As often as you like!
